The date is set - July 16th!

Well the cesarean date has been set and Baby Paisley will be born on July 16th at 9:00 am! Dr. Farkouh will do the surgery at Presbyterian St. Lukes and the specialists and pediatric surgeon are all set to take care of the baby, too.

The great news is that Dr. Farkouh thinks that Mitch and I will get a few minutes to spend with the baby before Paisley is taken off to the NICU. That's if Baby Paisley is stable and doing ok. I wasn't expecting to get to hold the baby at all directly following the cesarean, so we will be praying for that, too. After Paisley is born, Mitch will stay right by his/her side and go to the NICU. At that time the neonatologist and pediatric surgeon will evaluate how Paisley is doing and when they can do the surgery. Meanwhile I will be in recovery from my surgery and I'm sure anxiously waiting to be with the baby and Mitch in the NICU.

I keep thinking about how the bible says god has planned the time of our birth and our death and his plan is perfect!

  2. Can't wait until you get here Paisley. I really don't think I can wait much longer to find out if you are a boy or girl. I think July 16 is the perfect birthday. Not too close to any holiday (or other immediate family members birthday) and in the summer.
